Are you a press brake and tooling design expert who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and collaboration? E.J. Reynolds Company is looking for a highly skilled Press Brake Tooling Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in supporting customers, manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys working with engineered drawings, complex tooling designs, and real-world manufacturing challenges.
Compensation
- Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 annually
- Plus: Lucrative bonus schedule based on performance and results
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a press brake and tooling design expert, supporting both internal manufacturing teams and external customers
- Design, specify, and support press brake tooling setups for a wide variety of forming applications
- Ensure accurate setup, proper safety factors, and optimal tooling performance
- Collaborate closely with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver practical, high-quality solutions
- Provide quoting support, including tooling and forming solutions
- Read, interpret, and apply engineered drawings, ensuring adherence to:
- Tolerances
- Legends
- Materials and material behavior
- Apply strong knowledge of dimensional analysis to validate designs and forming strategies
- Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting efforts on the shop floor
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in press brake tooling and forming
- Strong experience with:
- Press brake tooling design and application
- Setup and forming processes
- Safety factors and best practices
- Proven ability to work from and interpret engineered drawings
- Experience with quoting and customer technical support
- Solid understanding of:
- Tolerances
- Legends
- Materials and material properties
Software & File Experience (Required)
- Dimensional analysis software
- STP files
- SLDW files (SolidWorks)
- DXF files
- Adobe Reader
